Always wanted to learn how to create your own cartoon character? Then this is your chance. Illustrator Juliette de Wit was a student at Thé Tjong-Khing and she will teach you some tricks of the trade.

At the Verwey Museum Haarlem, which is all about Thé Tjong-Khing, you will first copy one of his illustrations with Juliette. In addition to being a well-known cartoonist of picture books, Khing is also a cartoonist. Then you get to work to create your own cartoon character. Of course you will receive tips and tricks from Juliette.

During and after the workshop there is an opportunity to view the exhibition in the Verwey Museum Haarlem on view. In addition to the exhibition in the Verwey Museum, you can also visit the Library of Haarlem Center find an exhibition of Thé's work. In the basement you will find his newer, but also his old books.
