Double Focus Verwey and Masks

Double focus shows some portraits of famous people Haarlempainter Kees Verwey (1900-1995) combined with 57 masks, made by contemporary artists for the Sign Of The Times (SOTT) project. Portraits and masks show intriguing similarities. Both art forms offer different ways of self-expression and communication. The artist's true identity is revealed: is it in front of or behind the mask?
