Enter the miniature world of Anneke van de Wal (born 1963). Since 2019, Anneke has been building her dioramas, small worlds full of detail, in wooden drawers and boxes.

From her small home in the Hofje van Bakenes, Anneke creates the dioramas. The pantry, the brothel, the workshop: each cupboard tells its own story.

At a scale of 1:12, she creates glimpses from old, repurposed materials. She's always searching for useful finds. What she hasn't been able to find, she makes from polymer clay. Anneke van de Wal's art cabinets invite you to pause, observe, and discover. Her art cabinets offer a glimpse into her tranquil, tiny world.

Peepklein is a small, surprising exhibition, fun for all ages. With a flashlight in hand, you'll explore Anneke's miniature worlds, where something new lurks around every corner.
