children's workshop: make your own studio or embroidery!

Wednesday July 16 to August 20 every Wednesday

In this creative workshop you enter the world of the famous artist Kees Verwey. In his studio he painted everything he could think of: people, flowers and still lifes. His studio was known for its unprecedented chaos: a wonderful collection of things, covered in dust and even a bit of mold here and there! But it was precisely that messy, mysterious atmosphere that made it a place full of inspiration for Verwey. What does your dream studio look like? Is it a quiet place with large windows and plants? Or a colorful place full of paintings? In this workshop you design and build your own mini-studio, exactly the way you want it.

And there's more! In the workshop you can also embroider à la Jeanne Verwey – Kees' wife – who made beautiful embroideries herself. Be inspired by her style and make your own little work of art from thread and fabric.
