With Black Snow, the museum presents a compelling multimedia exhibition by photographer Harm van de Poel about life in and around Tata Steel. Using photography, audio, video, and archive material, he demonstrates how work, landscape, health, and climate are inextricably linked.

In a region where many depend on the jobs the factory provides, others are concerned about the climate and health problems it causes. Van de Poel exposes the tensions of this complex reality, in black and white and all the shades of gray in between. The project is also receiving considerable attention outside the museum.
