children's workshop: create your own dream landscape!

In the exhibition Rest and Remember Discover the work of Jacobien de Rooij. Here you'll see her earliest works alongside her most recent large-format pastel drawings. Her art is deeply rooted in her personal experience of nature and offers a rare moment of calm in our busy, fast-paced world.

The exhibition begins with her early work: small, intimate subjects from her personal life and home environment. Think watercolors of sweets and toys, drawings of her family members, and paintings of her beloved cat. Later, Jacobien expanded her horizons and began drawing landscapes. First close to home, then increasingly further afield and on increasingly larger scales.

During this workshop, you'll explore the exhibition with our instructors. Then you'll get creative yourself: drawing and coloring your own dreamscape with life-size animals using oil pastels on large sheets of paper.

Please note: register on time, preferably two days in advance, there is room for 10 children. You can register until 17:00 PM on the day before the workshop.

The children are supervised by experienced volunteers and are expected at 09:20 a.m., so they can start work ten minutes later. They can be picked up again at 11:00 a.m.
