accessibility

From Station Haarlem

From Station Haarlem the museum can be reached by bus with line 3 – direction Schalkwijk (get off at the Frans Hals Museum stop).

Would you rather walk? You can reach the museum in about 20 minutes. Follow the tourist signs to the museum. Exit the station on the center side. Walk via the Kruisweg / Kruisstraat / Barteljorisstraat across the Grote Markt to the Grote Houtstraat and follow it to the crossing. Turn left there (Gedempte Oude Gracht). Groot Heiligland is the second street on the right.

By bike

The museum is easily accessible by bike. There's a free, covered bicycle shed underneath Houtplein where you can park your bike safely and dry. This shed also has charging stations for electric bikes. From the shed, it's just a few minutes' walk to the museum.

By car

The nearest parking garages are Garage Houtplein, Wagenmakerslaan 1, and Garage De Kamp, De Witstraat 1. Both garages are within walking distance of the museum and are indicated on the signs of the parking guidance system.

Disabled persons

The museum is accessible for people with disabilities (elevator, accessible toilet, wheelchair, no thresholds). There is a disabled parking space in front of the entrance. A disabled parking card is required. Haarlem street parking for free.
