Doctor of law, merchant, administrator of the VOC, Grand Pensionary of Holland and West Friesland, leader of the peace negotiations in Münster and Lord of Heemstede: these are the functions of Adriaan Pauw in a nutshell.

In 1620, the wealthy Amsterdam merchant Adriaan Pauw became Lord of Heemstede, just 400 years later Museum dedicates Haarlem a small guesthouse exhibition to this wealthy man. Including special drawings of the visit of Queen Henrietta Maria and Prince Willem II to the House in Heemstede on September 8, 1642. Haarlemartist Jan Martszen de Jonge made several drawings of this special visit, surrounded by a large crowd. Now on display to the public for the first time.
